Alternative title: Portrait of a Stranger

About the game

This game was made for the Freeplay 2015 Multiplicity Game Jam.

The landscapes in the game are generated from photos I took around the South Bank area of Melbourne during the jam. Open the file photos.jpg (included in each download) to see all the photos used. The audio was recorded from around the same location.

How to play

Use the mouse to look, click to walk. You can also use WASD or the arrow keys if you prefer. F toggles fullscreen/windowed mode and ESC quits.

There is no ending as such, but the scenes will start to loop after about ten minutes.

All payments will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.

i love the "rainy clouds" made with heighmaps!

is it done with amulet?

Thanks. Yes it's Amulet. There's a tool to make your own worlds using the same system here: http://www.vertexmeadow.xyz/

i've seen it, but not tested yet :)
hey! i just realised that amulet is your engine! even cooler!

i've just played with vertexmeadow, is it the same codebase as southbank? it seems to be highly related :)

Yup, same codebase.

Nice work of art, great Job!

a groundbreaking achievement in proving example of the surreality of topography, the spontaneous feeling of shifting dimensions, this could be an example of games to come.
